After watching "Body Of Lies"
It was a good movie. This movie has a lot to say even most of the critics are against it. Listen to one of it.. Chicago Tribune: "Less sexy than it sounds, but still the right kind of war story." Aha because it doesn’t have enough juice for American taste then movie reviewer are writing “this movie was boring”. At the end of movie Russell Crowe says“Nobody likes Middle East, Nobody body” and Leonardo DiCaprio says” And this is a problem”. I think that is why this movie got a lot of bad critiques and reviews. It is a great story, maybe a little bit long. Powerful performances by Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Strong, Russell Crowe , Golshiteh Farahani & others. Russell Crowe didn’t create a new character, he was John Nash in the “A beautiful mind” movie; but he was good like always.
In the Vietnam War era Hollywood stood up against the war by making Anti war movies. From last year by creating movies like “Lions for Lambs” Hollywood started it is own war against war on Iraq and Afghanistan. Famous characters like Robert Redford talking with young generations in America, who loves MTV’s programs or … Movie was saying that “If you don't STAND for something, you might FALL for anything “you shouldn’t believe whatever they say. Lions for Lambs wasn’t an action movie, it was boring for thousands of MTV lovers. Samething happened for the “Body of Lies”, even this movie had lot more action sequences. One of the critics called this movie “Anti American”. Why? Because after all we are Americans and there was not a good portrayal of us in this movie, then we don’t like it. We are mostly like Ed Hoffman(Russell Crowe), who cares about just his own family, very relaxed and calm like nothing is going on the other side of the world.
Deer Hunter," "The Boys in Company C” & other movies in the Vietnam War were created to show the truth about the real war. These movies were full of blood and torturing, cutting, exploding, raping and … People didn’t like them at the beginning but little by little they opened societies eye's. Like today and how people react about war movies, they get bored and they want fake actions and fake stories. Some people look at their own backyard and care about only their life, and if somebody somewhere says something against them they get so angry. But who cares about Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Darfur or other boring countries. Leonardo DiCaprio as Roger Ferris played a good American CIA employee until the day that he was sure that this is it; he is really out of this game. When he didn’t follow the order he was out the radar! It means you should eat with us or we will eat you. Stay on our side, believe whatever we say and be proud of who we are, otherwise you are out of our game.
